Stellar Award Nominee Jai Reed Wins Big Easy Award!

It was a busy weekend for Jai Reed in his hometown of New Orleans. He was the opening act for the gospel diva duo Mary Mary at the House of Blues with a 30 minute performance of his original music from his current CD entitled, “Anointed For Purpose.” As he ended his performance he engaged the audience to participate and they sang background for him as he led several popular hymns, bringing in the Holy Spirit and creating an atmosphere of church as only he could do. Look for him to return to the popular HOB for an upcoming Gospel Brunch!

He performed at the French Quarter Fest Gospel Stage with the popular trio Nu Beginnings and made an appearance at the Peaches music store, sang several songs from his CD and signed autographs.

He topped off the weekend as he was nominated by the Big Easy Foundation for a Big Easy Award in the category of Best Gospel Individual along with Bishop Paul Morton and to his surprise was announced the WINNER! He performed a medley with Bishop Lester Love and Kim Cherie at the annual awards ceremony and dinner.

The TLR Music Group would like to extend an invitation to those who would like to be a part of the live taping of Jai Reed's second single and music video, “He Touched Me.”

The taping will take place at Mount Herman Baptist Church 3512 Highway 90 W. in Avondale, LA.70094 on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 6:30 PM.
