True Believers "Break Through" In Stores In 7 days!!!

February 19, 2008 -
True Believers are by far the most exciting young Quartet group in the nation and Malaco Records is proud to present their 2nd release on the label entitled “Break Through”

In their young careers, True Believers have already garnered 3 Gospel fans favorites such as “Ooh Wee Another Blessing,” “Don’t Count Me Out,” and “I Don’t Need No Rock;” However, Malaco feels that this is the project that the True Believers will beyond a doubt “Break Through” and take their rightful place amongst the Quartet Gospel elite.

“Break Through” contains 10 brand new songs that ranges from the hard hitting, hand clapping, foot stomping, make you want to get and dance music to an anointed “Praise & Worship” oriented song being skillfully and beautifully sung by a Quartet group. This is just one of the elements that separate True Believers from the rest on the Quartet field, positions them to reach your mainstream Gospel consumer and minister in the churches during their morning worship services without disturbing the flow. Their performance is full of vigorous energy and passion for their love for God.

The two song disc serviced to Gospel radio nationally featuring the syncopated driving bass line on “Here Comes Your Breakthrough” & the commanding anointed “Praise & Worship” song “He’s Working It Out” are both receiving spins on FM properties such as WHLW in Montgomery, AL.

True Believers appreciators are highly anticipating the release of “Break Through” this National Quartet Month from the group that are definitely the Quartet of the future with impacting power today.

Euclid Gray’s “Unleashed” In Stores February 26, 2008

February 13, 2008 - Euclid Gray, formerly of the R. Kelly’s platinum R&B Public Announcement and known to millions as Rev. Henry Oliver in Tyler Perry’s hit play and DVD release “Meet The Brown’s,” made his debut Malaco release and transition into the Gospel arena with a fan favorite, Urban Inspirational release “Father Guide Me” in 2006. His accomplishments up to this point afforded Euclid instant face recognition with the Gospel and mainstream audiences; however his 2nd Malaco release, “Unleashed” just may categorize all those accomplishments as simply humble beginnings.

“Unleashed” is the first of the 8 for 8 product line to be released from Malaco Records. That’s right 8 songs for $8.

Euclid Gray’s “Unleashed” contains eight (8) hyped, powerful, hand clapping, foot stomping tracks that will make you want to get up and dance whether you are in the pews, in the clubs, your home, office or car. The tracks range from “Let Me Praise Him”, a feel good, up-tempo, swing out, big band flavor dance track to “Ain’t Goin’ Get Mine,” a funky rock Michael Jacksonesque track to “You Must Go” a Dance Hall / Hip Hop Reggae track to a Euro House/ Dance remix of “Ghetto Gospel Man” House/ Dance taken from the “Father Guide Me” CD. “Unleashed” is clean, fun, inspiring music for the whole family to enjoy. Consumers will experience the thrill ride of a lifetime.

The title track and single “Let Me Praise Him” was test marketed in Buffalo, NY and not only did it become the most requested song on the BDS station, it rose to the top of the station’s play list in a matter of a few weeks and eventually knocked Kirk Franklin’s “Declaration” single out of the number one spot; Here is what Dwayne Cumberlander, Program Director, WUFO Buffalo had to say, "Clap your hands, stomp your feet, "Let Me Praise Him" is a refreshingly energetic song that has been needed. More than just gospel radio will love this song! “Our phone lines ring off the hook. “Let Me Praise Him” is audience favorite of all ages!”

Elroy R. C. Smith, Operations Manager for Radio One’s FM properties in Philadelphia, PA states, “Let Me Praise Him” by Euclid Gray is refreshing. The energy, the beat and the message brings a good feel to my radio station. This song is infectious and we at PRAISE 103.9 PHILLY were the first to bring this song to light in the Philadelphia metropolitan area!”

If this is any indication as to how well “Let Me Praise Him” will perform nationally, at this price point, Euclid Gray’s “Unleashed” will very well become the top selling big surprise hit of 2008!

Euclid Gray’s “Unleashed” will be in stores on February 26, 2008!

Malaco Set To Release Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson Project

February 6, 2008 - Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson has an illustrious career with classic hits such as “Hide Behind The Mountain,” “I Just Want To Be Right” and his latest 2007 Stellar award winning song, “I Made It” making him the undisputed “Prince Of Quartet Gospel” music.

Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson has been singing professionally since the age of 5 as a member of the group founded by his father, The Spiritual Voices. Still a young man himself, a master student of the Quartet genre, Keith felt that his success wasn’t just only for him to be the beneficiary, but that he must use his influence to reach back and help present to the world the next generation of rising Quartet stars to perpetuate the genre as so many of our legends are becoming fewer.

Malaco Records is proud to release “Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson Presents… The Rising Stars Of Quartet” Volume I.

“Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson Presents… The Rising Stars Of Quartet” Volume I is the first installment featuring 14 brand new songs, 3 songs performed by Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson himself along with selections from the hottest and most talented up and coming rising stars working on the Quartet scene today. The groups are Tim Rogers & The Fellas, Jewel & Converted, Brothers In Christ and Marble Twins & Company.

On January 24, 2008, The Malaco Music Group recently presented an exclusive musical showcase at the American Gospel Quartet Convention in Birmingham, AL, featuring “Live” performances by Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson and his Rising Stars Of Quartet in front of the most loyal, dedicated and critical Quartet Gospel music lovers in the world to an overwhelming response.

D.A. Johnson, Executive Director of Malaco Music Group’s Gospel division states, “I humorously refer to Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson as the Michael Jackson of Quartet because he’s been singing professionally since he was 5. I’ve watched him from the beginning on the Quartet scene in Brooklyn, NY and I knew back then that he was going to be something special. It is a true honor and privilege to finally have the opportunity to work with him in this capacity. It’s a dream come true for the both of us.”

“Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson Presents… The Rising Stars Of Quartet” Volume I will be in stores on February 26, 2008. It will be a must have this 2008 National Quartet Month!!!
